11/12: All You Need Is Love...

Keywords: Love, Age, Flu, Smile

Dr. Leslie Botta, Doctor of ChiropracticThis Beatles tune just popped into my brain.

Love is all you need, wah, wah, wah, wah, wah…

Of course we need some green love coming in from George’s to Ben’s, but what really nourishes us? It’s that RED love, and I’m not just talking about that major breath taking passionate stuff. (Although, I am a big fan of that!)

I’m talking that day to day feel good about yourself and others red love. It can be:

  • Walking around with a SMILE on your face.
I’m encouraged to do this because as I age I would prefer to have smile lines rather than frown lines. I suppose this could be considered selfish, but in the end it helps me feel good and is something good to spread to others and they spread to others as opposed to the flu; so it’s good all around! Besides, when you suddenly smile at your kids, they wonder what you are up to.
  • HUGS! HUGS! And more HUGS!
12 per day they say, and make them good ones, not just a pat on the back. Hug your kids, hug your mate. If you get a round of hugs in the morning and another at night you should be at least half way there. Heck, hug your pet too; I’m sure that may even count double for being ultra unconditional love!
  • APPRECIATION
No one has to do anything for you. Most people do for others because they care about you in some way, maybe even love you.
I do many things for my kids. Do they show me any appreciation? LOL (That means “laugh out loud”) Ok, rarely. BUT when they do, I FEEL GREAT!!! I feel LOVED!!!

Think about how you feel when someone appreciates you… it’s fantastic! So let’s remember to show our appreciation to others, it helps everyone feel loved.

Smile.
Hug.
Thank you.

Love, love, love.
Love is all we need.

Be well,
Dr. B
