Judy Squires-Gleason
Judy Squires-Gleason is fairly new to Tantric training but not new to caring, loving , the deep desire to help others, the desire to understand the depths of sexuality & the roles that it plays out in everyday lives on a personal level & in relationships. In everything we do.
Judy moved from St.John's Newfoundland Canada February 14th, 2006..to be with the love of her life...how fitting on Valentine's day..she now realizes that this love of her life was herself as she began on her road of self discovery & healing. She sees that she could not love another until she began to take care of & love herself. Then sharing these findings.
She also realizes that there are many loves, different types of loves, everything is love, depends on love , that we are all love..it IS all about love.
Judy believes that her Tantric path found her when her personal healing & growth was needed.
Before the Tantric path she also found Reiki healing & training & has received her Level Two certificate under the teachings of Hillary Raimo.
Judy also holds a Level One certificate with the LaHo-Chi Institute & International Center of Energy Healing

Judy also has admiration for Wayne Dyer, Byron Katie,Elaine Aron, Gina Ogden, Sherri Winston, Colin Tipping just to name a few...
Judy's background in Canada was in the special events decorating field for over 20 years, she feels that this area of work has definitely been helpful & fun in her personal life with her husband Brian in creating beautiful sacred spaces in their Upstate NY home, that they both love, & share with their four dogs (& family when they come to visit)
The challenges of studying healing work & personal healing on an intimate level has not been easy at times, but she does agree that all the hard work does pay off.
Judy loves to travel & her recent studies, trainings & special interests has given her the opportunity to enjoy Santa Monica, California, Ojai California, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Durango Colorado, Sedona Arizona, Wicklow Ireland, & upcoming Santa Barbara California October 2011 & Pune India in November 2011

- Breathwork
Breathwork refers to a variety of practices that utilize 'conscious breathing' as a therapeutic means of attaining physical, spiritual, and/or psychological benefits. Conscious breathing occurs when a person, in a relaxed position, focuses on their inhales and exhales and slowly alters them. Speeding up or slowing down the breath at will, depending on the guidelines of the specific breathwork practice they are following. It is often used as a tool for achieving deep meditative states, but also can be effectively used to assist in pacing of rigorous exercise, such as running or aerobics. Regular practice of some breathwork techniques can assist in stress relief and mental clarity.
- Chakra Balancing
The word Chakra in Sanscrit translates to wheel or disc. Chakras are energy centers along the spine located at major branchings of the human nervous system, beginning at the base of the spinal column and moving upward to the top of the skull. Chakras are considered to be focal points for the reception and transmission of life force energy or Qi. They are responsible for the person's physical, mental, and spiritual functions.
According to the traditional writings there are 88,000 chakras in the human body covering basically every area in the body. The majority of them are small and insignificant. Forty of them have significant function and they are in the hands, feet, fingertips, and shoulders. The most significant ones are the Seven Main Chakras located along the central line of the body, from the base of the spine to the top of the head. They are located in the ethereal body and they express the embodiment of spiritual energy on the physical plane.
Chakra balancing can occur through a variety of holistic practices, and typically include some form of guided meditation or energy work. Clients generally leave the session feeling refreshed and simultaneously rested and energized. - Essential Oils
Essential oils are utilized in many complementary, alternative, and integrative medicine (CAIM)practices including aromatherapy and massage. Essential oils are plant oils with specific aromas to support and balance the mind, body, and spirit in the promotion of relaxation and healing.
The plant oils are distilled in a natural process without synthetics into essential oils, which are highly concentrated and typically blended with an inert base oil. Inhaling essential oils, such as from candle-burning or use of an air diffuser, may have immediate calming effects. Application in appropriate strengths through the skin may promote additional benefits, such as healing of minor injuries or other pain relief. Aromatherapy can be used for relaxtion, and also to help prevent or improve various conditions, injuries, disorders, and diseases. - Guided Imagery or Visualization
Guided Imagery or Visualization
Guided Imagery is the use of relaxation and mental visualization to improve mood and or physical wellbeing. It is also used as a means of problem solving or improving a skill. The practitioner begins by inviting the client to discuss his or her concerns and goals. The client is then relaxed by various means, depending on the practitioner, such as hypnosis. The practitioner then softly guides the client through gentle images to deepen relaxation, and then helps the client visualize the resolution of the issue or concern.
Visualization can be guided by a practitioner, as above, or can be done individually. Visualization is often done by a person learning a new skill, such as putting a basketball through a hoop. The individual visualizes the ball clearing the net as a part of his or her training. When applied to physical or mental health, the client visualizes the issue resolved or the body well and healthy. Visualization can contribute to the client's "will to heal," an important component of the healing process. Guided imagery and visualization is an especially powerful tool to relieve stress, often with immediate results. - Healing and Therapeutic Touch
An energy-based therapeutic approach to healing. Using hands-on and energy-based techniques to balance and align the human energy field. Hands do not touch body, but perform smoothing and soothing movements above the body 'massaging' the human energy field surrounding body; involving mind, body, emotion and spirit.
- Meditation
Meditation is a mind-body practice. There are many types of meditation, most of which originated in ancient religious and spiritual traditions.
Generally, a person who is meditating uses certain techniques, such as a specific posture, focused attention, and an open attitude toward distractions. Meditation may be practiced for many reasons, such as to increase calmness and physical relaxation, to improve psychological balance, to cope with illness, or to enhance overall wellness.
The term meditation refers to a group of techniques, such as mantra meditation, relaxation response, mindfulness meditation, and Zen Buddhist meditation. Most meditative techniques started in Eastern religious or spiritual traditions. These techniques have been used by many different cultures throughout the world for thousands of years.
Today, many people use meditation outside of its traditional religious or cultural settings, for health and wellness purposes. In meditation, a person learns to focus attention. Some forms of meditation instruct the practitioner to become mindful of thoughts, feelings, and sensations and to observe them in a nonjudgmental way. This practice is believed to result in a state of greater calmness and physical relaxation, and psychological balance. It is also believed that practicing meditation can change how a person relates to the flow of emotions and thoughts in the mind. - Probiotics
Probiotics are live microorganisms (in most cases, bacteria) that are similar to beneficial microorganisms found in the human gut. They are also called 'friendly bacteria' or 'good bacteria.'
Probiotics are available in the form of dietary supplements and foods. Some uses for probiotics for which there is scientific evidence are to treat diarrhea, to prevent and treat infections of the urinary tract or female genital tract, to treat irritable bowel syndrome, to reduce recurrence of bladder cancer, to shorten how long an intestinal infection lasts that is caused by a bacterium called Clostridium difficile, to prevent and treat pouchitis (a condition that can follow surgery to remove the colon)and to prevent and manage atopic dermatitis (eczema) in children.
Probiotic products taken by mouth as dietary supplements are manufactured and regulated as foods, not drugs. Probiotics' side effects, if they occur, tend to be mild and digestive (such as gas or bloating). More serious effects have been seen in some people. Probiotics might theoretically cause infections that need to be treated with antibiotics, especially in people with underlying health conditions. They could also cause unhealthy metabolic activities, too much stimulation of the immune system, or gene transfer (insertion of genetic material into a cell). - Reiki
Reiki is a healing practice that originated in Japan. These practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above the person receiving this modality, affecting natural healing energy flow with the goal of facilitating the person's own healing response.
Reiki promotes a rapid relaxation response which is easily learned. It can be used for self-care or on others. It has been used to promote overall health and well-being, provide relief from disease-related symptoms, provide relief from side-effects of conventional medical treatments, add relaxation and lower stress and pain from post-operative procedures.
A 2002 national survey by the National Center for Health Statistics and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) on adult Americans' use of CAM found that, adjusted to nationally representative numbers, more than 2.2 million adults in the United States had used Reiki for health purposes at the time of the survey. - Stress Management Therapies
Stress management therapies vary widely from counseling to massage to energy work and more.
Such techniques are grounded in the understanding that unresolved stress limits the body's physical wellness, creating muscle tension, building up toxins, and even impacting the immune system. Further, stress can manifest feelings of fatigue, heaviness, aches and pains, reduced mental clarity or ability to focus, and depression. It can compound existing physical or mental issues, and create new ones.
Stress management therapies can include techniques designed to remove blockages in the flow of Qi (Chi), or "life force" that flows through the body, such as with Reiki, Qi Gong, or Tai Chi.
Hypnotherapy is another commonly used practice to reduce stress and help a client gain mental clarity. Overall, the integrative, complementary approach to reducing stress is non-invasive, natural, and concentrates on the unique needs of the client with the goal of empowering the client to learn how to relieve stress on his or her own, a life-long learning skill.
